A letter from round and about Timberland .
Greetings to Customers , Suppliers and Friends .
We are now in our 4th months since re opening from the “ HARD” Lockdown . Indeed – in some respects it seems like a distant memory .
Thank heavens that Zimbabwe seems, so far , to have escaped the worst ravages of the dreaded corona virus . We pray that our good fortune holds and that life can soon be back to normal completely .
In the meanwhile Zimbabweans are pressing on with life in general . The building industry has every appearance of being buoyant . Enquiries and orders for us are healthy and we are grateful for that .
We see building activity everywhere with positive reports from our colleagues in the hardware , brick , cement , tile , roofing , sand and gravel industries . Bear in mind that most building is owner financed in Zim . This is therefore , nothing short of remarkable !
There cannot be too many other countries in the world with a complete shortage of construction finance that still also building booms .
It is also gratifying that the “ auction rate “ for or currency has shown signs of stability this week . We hope and trust that this is good for everyone .
In the meanwhile we are very busy , keeping up our deliveries and praying for a good rainy season .
We send good wishes to everyone .
