As the end of the year approaches, it’s the perfect time to reflect on 2017…another year that has rushed past, but with much progress and achievement.
This has been a time of challenge and change in Zimbabwe, full of excitement and anticipation, and for us at Teakland as well as our clients, it’s been a great 12 months. We look forward to better still, and plan to play our small part in helping Zimbabwe regain its rightful place economically. We believe the future holds much promise for all, and we are ready for the challenges, uncertainty and opportunities that await us in 2018.
All aspects of our business have experienced adjustments, innovation and forward momentum during 2017, and we are embracing this necessary change that comes with advancement, while nurturing the strengths of our past.
We did some fine-tuning to our business infrastructure, making an already robust structure even stronger still. The wonderful people with whom we work, are the core of our business, have good morale, are extremely loyal and a huge blessing. The desire to learn, improve and achieve is the hallmark of everyone in our company. This continues to inspire and motivate us all.
On the marketing side we did some serious spring cleaning, starting by embarking on a bold new programme of rebranding which saw our company name change from Timberland to Teakland. The new marketing campaign also included a daunting foray into social media, of which this blog is a major part. The marketing initiative has been a great success and we are very grateful to the professional team who guided us on the route. Our orders, marketing and sales- reach have improved immeasurably, and the feedback from customers is very encouraging. This has been a huge and enjoyable learning experience for us all.
There are many people to thank for their support and involvement this year. They know who they are. In particular we thank our loyal customers, our staff, our social media gurus Violette and Mpi, also Carrie, Charles and, of course, our bankers. We cannot forget Zesa, who did a fine job keeping our power going for most of the time. Thanks Guys!
TEAKLAND wishes everyone a Happy Christmas and a very prosperous New Year. We look forward to seeing you all in 2018!
