Timberland

This month’s cover of Habitat, one of South Africa’s foremost contemporary décor, architecture and design magazines, has featured a house with a full complement of beautiful teak windows and doors, specifically designed and manufactured by Timberland…and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

It’s not unusual that our elegantly designed doors and window have adorned houses outside Zimbabwe: our products have been fitted in beautiful homes, golfing estates and safari lodges all over South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Mozambique…but it is pretty special to make the cover of Habitat!

There is an interesting additional story to the stunning house featured in the mag. Two years ago the owner left two window sashes open during a violent Cape gale. The sashes were torn right off, together with some rooves in the area, and he called us for help. We pulled the original drawings of the sashes, made some replacements, and had them delivered to Cape Town within two weeks  The German owners were very pleased and the sashes, as the photographs clearly illustrate, are still firmly intact.
